Don't you know? Haven't you heard? Don't you understand the foundations of the earth?
God is enthroned above the earth, and those who live on it are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the sky like a canopy
and spreads it out like a tent to live in.
He makes rulers unimportant,
and makes earthly judges worth nothing.
Have have hardly been planted,

They have hardly been sown.

They have hardly taken root in the ground

Then he blows on them and they wither
and a windstorm sweeps them away like straw.
"To whom, then, can you compare me? Who is my qual?" asks the Holy One
Look at the sky and see.
Who created these things?
Who brings out the stars one by one?
He calls them all by name.
Because of the greatness of his might and the strength of his power,
not one of them is missing...
Don't you know? Haven't you heard?
The eternal God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth,
does not grow tired or become weary.
His understanding is beyond reach.
He gives strength to those who are weak.
Even young people grow tired and become weary,
and young men will stumble and fall.
Yet the strength of those who wait with hope in the Lord will be renewed.
They will soar on wings like eagles
they will run and won't become weary
they will walk and won't grow tired.
Isaiah 40:21-26, 28-31

i.my brother is coming to visit tonight, and I'm excited. I haven't seen him in three months, and although this trip will be super short, it will be wonderful!! :)
ii. I've started making bouquets out of the various flowers and weeds around our yard. Some of them turn out better than others, but they are all colorful and brighten up our dining room table.
iii. it's been hot. i'm a cool weather girl, so it's been interesting trying to survive. lots of iced tea and iced coffee! and ice-cubes and ice-cubes in lemonade. and ice. :)
iv. this girl is one of my favorite peoples. so go check her out. she's pretty amazing.

  1. Awww...thank you so much for the shout-out :) That was sweet.

I love all these pictures! And the heat is terrible over here too. It's been in the nineties for almost the past week, I think, and I am suffering just a bit right now ;) I love fall and winter because it's getting so COOL and you can stay inside and be cozy, or go outside and exercise and not get almost-heatstroke hot. Plus I like busyness of school and the less busyness of farm work. haha

    1. and it seems like it's a whole lot easier to dress super cute in the fall, because you just add more and more layers and boots and scarves... maybe the heat is a good way to grow in the area of fashion... haha it takes more thought to come up with a cute, modest and COOL outfit.

I'm with you on loving fall and winter, though. Can you imagine the heat in Florida if we do go next fall?! At least we wouldn't be there in summer. ;)

I know... I started walking a couple days ago, (I finally decided I needed to stop thinking about exercising and actually START!) and even at 8:30-9:00 in the morning it's so hot I come in super sweaty and miserable.

  2. I love that bouquet! I've always wished I was good at arranging flowers, but sadly never really mastered it....
