my story

i. hi, i'm becca. i am nineteen, a homeschool graduate and I live in southern washington. my life currently consists of laundry, babysitting frequently for my mom, nannying, and planning a wedding! I  get to marry the most wonderful man in Febuary 2017!

ii. i am an intorvert, so in most social settings you'll find me either in a corner by myself just watching people, following one friend around, or going through the hosts bookshelves. (or talking to the dog...)

iii. i may not look like it, but I'm a country girl at heart. I love nothing more than riding a horse on a crisp fall day, muddling through backroads in my brothers big trucks, and bottle feeding a calf or playing with baby goats. I firmly believe the number one redneck law, that duct tape can fix anything. But on the flip side, I can be a complete girly-girl and enjoy shopping, coffee dates, dressing up, and looking at city-lights at night.

iv. i'm ditzy, klutzy, and suffer from short-term-memory-loss. (it runs in my family. at least, I think it does. Where is my family.... HI can i help you?!) so, as a result, I spill my coffee on myself at least once a day, i frequently fall down the stairs, just because, and i tell the same jokes and stories several times because i can't remember telling them before. I'm shy, and awkward, and my brain checks out on me all too often leaving me to confused to speak coherently.

v. i love old movies, and even older books; British literature, and BBC dramas; watching people interact in all spectra of life; dark, dark, dark chocolate, and Black and White Mochas; being with close friends; Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble. (who has the dreamiest voice in case you were wondering.); words that seem to jump right off a page and directly into my soul; owls and puppies, but especially horses; books that i've read a million times, but demand to be read a millionth and one times; babies and toddlers, and four-year-olds with their endless questions; mountians and valleys and rivers; fresh journals just waiting to be filled with my life and questions and heartache; polka-dots and stripes, and bright happy shoes; photographs that turn out just right; beautiful moments that make me shiver with emotion as I am living them, watching cute old couples who are obviously more in love then when they first got together.

vi. One of my favoritest bible verses is: "But God demonstrated his own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
and "Be anxious for nothing, but in  everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 6-7

vii. And two of my favorite quotes are:
"The Son God became a man to enable men to become Sons of God." C.S. Lewis
"To love at all is to be vulnerable." C.S. Lewis

viii. this blog is just a bit of my life. i'd love to have you join me for the adventures! So pull up a comfy chair, a large, steaming mug of coffee, or tea, (you choose, i am perfectly happy with either!)  i'm looking forward to sharing bits of my life with you, and would love to get to know you through comments and your blogs. be sure to leave me a link!!
