lights

Allo ma chere ami!!!!

Moi desire vous volonte voir le mou de ce ville quelque!!!!

Ahh, French. today in down-town San Francisco I was delighted to hear French being spoken all around me!! But I am sure you are 'dying' to know what my first translated sentence in french is......

          Hello my dear freind!

I wish you will see the light of this city sometime!!!!!

Ok, so it's not as great as it sounds in French, but hey, it took me more that 5 minuets to translate it from English into French.

I have been known to say that I hate the city, and indeed I do (!!!!) but that almost changes when I see the beautiful lights at night. Each light is flickering in the blackness, chasing the shadows away, and representing a person.

There are the big lights on stores that are open late for the convinious of the working class people that can't shop any other time.

There are the lights of the cars, bound for heaven knows where, all in a great long line down a crowded freeway.

There are the smaller lights of houses, where people work, play, sleep and are hanging out with family and freinds.

The lights in the city almost remind me of the stars back home, and thats a big compliment!! The stars where I come from are bright and beautiful and almost seem to be smiling down on you when you look up at them. And, *smile* you can't count the city lights any more than you could count the starts... :)

San Fransisco.....

Hey ya'll,

I am currently in (or rather in a suburb of) San Fransisco!!!! (visiting some relatives.) I plan on taking some photos (some would be an understatement!!!!*laughs*), and wish that I had some to show you already, but I only arrived yesterday, and have been rather lazy since then.
Oh, and I am very proud of myself for actually arriving!!!! You see I flew down, and it was the very first time that I have EVER flown by mu self, and even though I have flown a bunch, I still get EXTREMELY nervous when on an airplane. I guess I figure, if God wanted us to fly, he woulda given us some wings his self. :)

Anyway, I am here, and will post some pictures when I get home. Whether any turn out or not. :)

Love ya,

Becca

This was the flags at the memorial day service this year. I meant to post them a LONG time ago, but never got around to it... :) Typical me!!

And this is my oldest brother, Thomas, who is leaving for Army basic training in a week and a half. Right now he is with a friend getting ready for his friends wedding. Thomas is the best man. :)

This is outside my town, before it really turned brown. It does turn brown around here!!!!

Introducing…. a new blog!!!!

My very dear friend Bekah started this blog recently to help girls learn how to dress modestly AND fashionably!!!!!!! Cheers for Bekah, 'cause I know how hard it is to feel PRETTY while wearing modest clothing. So, run on over there, she is just gettin' started, so she doesn't have a ton on there yet, but it looks like it'll become one of my favorite sites.

And speaking on modest fashion, here's another site y'all might enjoy lookin' at. www.virtiousgirlhood.com It is a really cute site as well!!
